I had some trainers I made some time ago but original source was lost. There are 2 trainers in particular that are big and it would take me a long time to recreate the GUI. I recovered the trainer code and got the recovered.xml as you said. Renamed it to "recovered.ct".
I imported it in CE and thank lord it worked but the problem is that GUI is not "syncing". Some elements are like logo, some labels, page control and main TCEPanel.
But there are no buttons, no checkboxes, nothing else but when I execute the lua script everything shows proper. But only way to edit other stuff is by changing values in lua script itself.
Am I doing something wrong when importing new "recovered.ct" in the CE? How to recover all GUI elements when importing recovered trainer?

Also, make sure the version of CE you are using is enough for the trainer you dumped. If you are using a table for a newer version of CE some features may fail to load properly etc.
