Coords system in Grim Dawn

Post by GlockenGerda » Mon Mar 07, 2016 5:49 am

Anyone knows how the coordinates were handled?
Is it "X Y Z" or "X Z Y"?

Given how the coord ranges are, it looks like its X Z Y since the middle number is so low.

Thanks Atom0s!

Here is a short desc how to enable the CoordsOverlay and how to read out the world coords.

(How to obtain the BasePointer look here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=59)

BasePointer->0x44 = PlayerGameInterface
PlayerGameInterface->0xff = (1/0) enable/disable ingame info
PlayerGameInterface->0x1d0 = Region xPos (signed float)
PlayerGameInterface->0x1d8 = Region yPos (signed float)
PlayerGameInterface->0x1d4 = Region zPos (signed float)

PlayerGameInterface->0x1cc->0x2c = Region xOffset (signed DWORD)
PlayerGameInterface->0x1cc->0x30 = Region yOffset (signed DWORD)
PlayerGameInterface->0x1cc->0x34 = Region zOffset (signed DWORD)

World xPos = (float) Region xOffset + Region xPos
World yPos = (float) Region yOffset + Region yPos
World zPos = (float) Region zOffset + Region zPos

Hope, this infos are somehow useful for some of you!

Just to clarify this, those are the cursor coordinates not the actual player coordinates. But as allways: nice find!
